Often when we think of compliancy, we think of the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act or the new, even stricter, Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We make sure we’re only emailing to those who have expressly requested email, respectfully not emailing those who have opted out, and following all the other rules that apply. In other words, we have to keep it legal. Email service providers such as Gmail, Yahoo and AOL also demand attention to ensure your email is delivered.
That said, legal compliancy is only one consideration when planning your email marketing campaigns. Best practices in content, design and delivery are what get your emails opened and read!
