About Specialized Email Templates
Use the Specialized templates found in Lasso’s Email Template Editor area to add various subscription pages as well as templates containing Opt-In and Opt-Out links. A template must be created first using the options in Create templates. Then it can be assigned as a specialized template for one of the options on the Specialized templates page.
Specialized templates include:
- Email Template - Opt-In (Mass Mail) – Email template manually sent to custom lists of non-opted registrants, based on specific criteria. For example, you may want to send different opt-in templates to registrants who walk into the Sales Center versus registrants who attend an event. Multiple templates can be assigned per project. The template must contain the Opt-In Link Token (##optInLink##), and the Opt-In Link requires a From Name and a From Email.
- Content Block - Opt-Out – Content attached to email template automatically sent with all mass mails to give registrants the option to opt out of future mass mails. Only one template can be assigned per project. If a customized opt-out template has not been assigned, registrants will receive the Lasso default opt-out content block. Clicking the opt-out link will trigger the Opt-Out Verification page containing a Confirm Opt-Out button. Clicking on the Confirm Opt-Out button will trigger a Subscription Update Complete message. Only one template can be assigned. The Content Block Opt-Out template must contain the Opt-Out Link Token (##optOutLink##).
- Subscription Page - Error – Landing page that registrants are directed to if they attempt to opt in more than once. Only one template can be assigned per project.
- Subscription Page - Thank you (Opt-In Confirmation for single project) – Landing page that registrants are directed to if they opt into or out of a particular project; should indicate to the registrant that their profile has been updated in Lasso. Only one template can be assigned per project. - Subscription Page - Landing (Opt-In Confirmation for multiple projects) – Landing page that registrants are directed to if they select their opt-in preferences for multiple projects; should indicate to the registrant that their profile has been updated in Lasso. Only one template can be assigned per project. The template must contain the Project Subscription List Token (##projectSubscriptionList##) as well as the Save Subscription Updates Button.
- Email Template - Opt-In (Default) – Email template automatically sent to registrants who sign up online; can also be sent to existing registrants who are non-opted. - Subscription Page - Opt-Out Verification – Landing page that registrants are directed to as confirmation if they have opted out. Only one template can be assigned per project. The template must contain the Registrant Email Address Token (##emailAddress##) as well as the Opt-Out Verification Button.
