Add Business Rule Set

Add Business Rule Set

1 - Click into the Client Admin Center Admin.
2 - Click on System.
3 - Click on Business Rules in the dropdown.

System Settings

4 - Click on the Business Rule Sets tab.

System Settings

5 - Click on Add Rule Set or simply start entering a name for the Rule Set in the Name box under Rule Set on the right side of the screen. This is a required field and will be outlined in red if you attempt to move on to the next step without entering a name.
6 - Under Assign Projects, check the boxes beside the projects to which you want to assign the required field(s).

System Settings

7 - Under Required Fields, check the boxes beside the fields you want to make required, if any. Once you’ve set the required field(s), Users will be unable to save the information until data has been entered for the Required Fields. Registrant fields are on the left and Inventory fields are on the right. Required fields can be selected from both areas for a single Rule Set.

System Settings

Note: Under Registrant, the First Name, Last Name, and Source Type fields are already required in Lasso so the checkboxes are checked and greyed out. Likewise for Inventory, where Initial Price, Inventory, and Unique ID fields are required.

8 - Under Custom Fields, check the box(es) beside the Custom Field(s) that you wish to include in the Business Rule Set. Please note that Custom Fields must be created prior to adding a Business Rule Set. Refer to Create Custom Field for instruction. You will notice that you can apply the Custom Fields that have been created to Registrants, Inventory, or Sales Reps.
9 - In the Values are unique field, select Project (applies to specific project only) or Client (applicable across all projects) from the dropdown.
10 - Check the box beside Required if you want the Custom Field to be part of the Required Information.

System Settings

11 - Click Save.

Note: Only one Business Rule Set can be assigned per project. If the Business Rule Set you've assigned to a project is no longer applicable, either edit it or unassign it from the project and create a new one for that project. You can edit the Rule Set if the changes to the rules apply to all projects that it’s assigned to. If not, you’ll have to unassign and create a new one.
