Inventory Center - Manage Purchaser and Sales Rep Assignments

Assign Purchaser to Unit

Note: The purchaser must be in the registrant database prior to assigning to a unit. 

1 – In the Inventory Center, click on the appropriate Component tab, if applicable. You won't see Component tabs if there is only one.
2 – Click on the unit in the Inventory List.

3 – Under Purchasers, click on Assign.

4 – In the Assign Purchaser window, type a few letters of the purchaser’s first or last name in the Search For bar and select the correct Purchaser from the dropdown. Once selected, the purchaser’s name will then appear under Selected Purchaser.

5 – Select a Purchaser Type and Purchase Reason if needed and select the Assigned Date if it is different from the current date.

6 – The Primary Sales Rep that has been assigned to the registrant in the Sales Center will automatically be assigned to the purchaser. This will be indicated by a checkmark beside the rep’s name. If no rep has been assigned, check the box beside the appropriate sales rep’s name. You may assign additional reps by checking the boxes beside their names as well.

7 – Click Save.

Note: If you have multiple purchasers, they must be assigned one at a time.

Once the purchaser has been assigned to the unit, their name and contact details will appear in the Purchasers section of the inventory profile and the Status of the unit will update from Available to Offer.

Unassign Purchaser from Unit

1 – In the Inventory Center, click on the appropriate Component tab, if applicable. You won't see Component tabs if there is only one.
2 – Click on the unit in the Inventory List.

3 – Click on the edit icon Inventory Center beside the purchaser name.

4 – In the Assigned Purchaser window, click on Unassign.

5 – Click OK when asked if you want to unassign the Purchaser.

This will remove the purchaser from the inventory profile. 

Assign Sales Rep to Unit

1 – In the Inventory Center, click on the appropriate Component tab, if applicable. You won't see Component tabs if there is only one.
2 – Click on the unit in the Inventory List.

3 - Under Sales Reps, click on Assign.

4 – Select the sales rep from the dropdown list.

5 – Select Yes from the dropdown if you the sales rep should receive a Selling Bonus.

6 – Adjust the Assigned Date if it is different from the current date and Save.

Note: Additional sales reps must be assigned one at a time.

Once the sales rep has been assigned to the unit, their name and contact details will appear in the Sales Reps section of the inventory profile.

Unassign Sales Rep from Unit

1 – In the Inventory Center, click on the appropriate Component tab, if applicable. You won't see Component tabs if there is only one.
2 – Click on the unit in the Inventory List.

3 – Click on the sales rep’s name.

4 – In the Update Assigned Sales Rep window, click on Unassign.

5 – Click OK when asked if you want to unassign the sales rep.

This will remove the Sales Rep from the Inventory Profile.

About Assigning Sales Rep to Project

Sales Reps can be assigned to a project at the time they are added as users in Lasso or, once they’ve been set up, they can also be assigned to a project via the Inventory Center. As well, details can be added or changed, such as phone number, email address, and whether they are to be displayed on the Sales Center Home Page.

To view the Sales Rep List, click on the appropriate Component tab, if applicable. You won't see Component tabs if there is only one.

Then click on Sales Reps.

This will bring up a list of all sales reps who are assigned to the project.

Assign Sales Rep to Project

1 – In the Inventory Center, with your mouse, hover over Sales Rep and select Assign Rep.

2 – Click on the dropdown in the Sales Rep field. It will list the Lasso users that are not currently sales reps on the project. Select the user that you want to assign to the project.

3 – Enter the project Email Address. This is the email address that will show in the From line of the email when a sales rep emails a registrant from Lasso. Please ensure that the project email address is forwarded to the user’s mylasso.com address (the default address that is automatically given to new users, ie. @mylasso.com), so that all incoming and outgoing email is recorded in registrant history.

4 – Beside Phone, enter a phone number.

5 – Beside Type, select the Sales Rep or Sales Manager role.

6 – Beside Hide, select No if you want the user to be displayed in the list of sales reps on the Sales Center Home Page. Select Yes if you do want the user to show in the list.

7 – Click Save.

The Sales Rep will be displayed in the list on the Sales Reps page.

Update/Edit Sales Rep Details

1 – In the Inventory Center, click Sales Reps.

2 – Click on the sales rep's name.

3 – Update the details as desired and Save.

Note: If you are changing the email address, please ensure that the new email address is forwarded to the user’s default mylasso.com address (<userid@mylasso.com) so that all incoming and outgoing email is recorded in registrant history. 

Unassign Sales Rep from Project

1 – In the Inventory Center, click Sales Reps.

2 – Click on the sales rep's name.


3 – Click on Unassign.

4 – You will be asked if you’re sure you want to unassign the sales rep. Click OK.

This will remove the sales rep from the project.
