Inventory Center - Project Settings - Manage Purchase Reasons

About Purchase Reasons

Purchase Reasons can be selected from a dropdown list when a user is assigning a purchaser to a unit of inventory in the Inventory Center. Lasso provides a list of default Purchase Reasons with which to get started. Inventory Managers can add to or update these defaults as needed.

Default Purchase Reasons

  • Investment Property 
  • Primary Residence 
  • Secondary Residence

To view existing Purchaser Reasons, hover over Project Settings and select Purchase Reasons.

This brings you to the list of Purchase Reasons that can be added to the purchase details for individual units of inventory.

Add Purchase Reason

1 – In the Inventory Center, you can access the Add Purchase Reason page in two ways:

a) If you want to view the existing list of Purchase Reasons prior to adding new ones, hover over Project Settings and select Purchase Reasons.

From here, click on New Purchase Reasons.

b) If you want to skip viewing the list, hover over Project Settings to Purchase Reasons and select Add Purchase Reason.

2 – Enter the Purchase Reason(s) in the space(s) provided and Save.

The newly added Purchase Reason(s) will show in the Purchase Reasons list.

Update/Edit Purchase Reason

1 – In the Inventory Center, hover over Project Settings and select Purchase Reasons.

2 – Click on the Purchase Reason you want to update.

3 – Update the Purchase Reason as needed and Save.

Delete Purchase Reason

1 – In the Inventory Center, hover over Project Settings and select Purchase Reasons.

2 – Click on the Purchase Reason you want to delete.

3 – Click on Delete.

4 – A message will come up asking if you’re sure you want to delete the Purchase Reason. Click OK.

The selected Purchase Reason from the list.

Warning: Deleting a Purchase Reason will remove all references to it from inventory details and associated reporting.
