Add Option/Upgrade to Inventory Unit

Note: Please refer to About Options Upgrades in Project Admin Center for information on creating options/upgrades that are selectable in the Inventory Center.

1 – Click into the Inventory Center Inventory Center.

2 – If applicable, click on the Component tab of the Unit you want to access. 

3 – In the Inventory List, find the unit you want to access and click on it.

4 – With your mouse, hover over Other Actions and click on Options/Upgrades in the dropdown.

5 – Click on Add Option in the menu bar.

6 – Enter a Name for the option.

7 – Enter a Description of the option.

8 – If the option is available for selection under Options or Option Packages, check the box beside the appropriate item. (Multiple options can be selected.)

Note: Please refer to About Options/Upgrades in Project Admin Center for information on creating options and option packages that are available for selection in the Inventory Center. 

If the Option/Upgrade is not available under Options or Option Packages, ensure that you have entered an appropriate Description and skip to step 9.

9 – If you selected the option and the selected option has an associated price, the Price field will populate automatically. The price can be edited as needed.

If you did not select an option but simply entered it in the Description field, enter a Price if appropriate. This field can be left blank.

10 – Select the Area to which the option applies.

11 – If the option is included in the contract, leave the the box unchecked. (The option will appear in the Inside Contract section of the inventory profile.) If the option is not included in the contract, check the box beside Outside Contract? (The option will appear in the Outside Contract section of the inventory profile.) 

12 – Click Save.

The option will be listed on the Options and Upgrades page.

On the Inventory Profile, the Option/Upgrade amount will either be displayed in the Inside Contract or Outside Contract section, depending on whether the Outside Contract? box was checked or not. If it is Inside Contract, it will increase the Total Sales Revenue amount. If it is Outside Contract, it will increase the Total Sales & Extras Revenue amount. The Option/Upgrade entry details will show in the Options/Upgrades section near the bottom of the Inventory Profile.
